Rymalima Alpacas

Welcome to our Suri Alpaca farm.

We pride ourselves in exclusively breeding elite Suri Alpacas. Our female herd is made up of both pure Peruvian and pure Bolivian alpaca bloodlines. Extra care has been taken to breed with champion suri alpaca males that bring excellent fiber, luster, conformation and behavioral characteristics into the herd. With our purchase of two exquisite suri females from the Tillman's this fall we have added exceptional quality to our herd. These new ladies, Maggie and That Girl have some of the finest histograms you will find and therefore will be the foundation of our future breedings to consistently produce the finest fleece possible. As an example, our pure Peruvian female alpaca, Gigi, was just bred last month to McGyverson and we will be breeding another female in the near future with Cantano's champion offspring.

We are new to the alpaca industry having purchased our first suri alpacas in October 2006. We are in the process of completing construction of our new home and farm in Fort Pierce, Florida where we have lived for 30 years. We were fortunate to be introduced to the alpaca business by Liza McArthur, a wonderful woman whose farm is located in southwest North Carolina and where our suri herd currently resides. She has been invaluable in our learning and understanding of all aspects of the alpaca business in the U.S.

Currently we only have junior suri herdsires which are showing great promise for our own breeding program and will be attractive choices for those looking for champion suri bloodlines to bring into their suri herds. Our oldest boy is Remington Steel. He received a first place at the 2007 Alpaca Western Extravaganza and a 2nd place showing at the 2007 AOBA show. He is an exceptional suri alpaca in all areas. We are anxiously awaiting his development into a mature breeding suri herdsire. Sammie is our first born from our original purchase of alpacas in 2006. He has always had wonderful greasy luster and all of the other characteristics that have come together to make him an exciting future key to our suri herd development. Our Twist & Shout is another piece of the outstanding suri package we purchased from the Tillman's. He comes from Maggie, a 210 lb. female alpaca (body score 4), with her incredible 16.7 micron fleece and his sire Tillman's VaVaVa Voom an exceptional suri male that brought great breeding success to their farm. With such great genetics he is sure to be a junior suri herdsire with plenty of success in the showring.

We are so anxious to be able to have these beautiful animals on the farm to enjoy everyday. We are also looking forward to sharing the suri alpaca experience with visitors and fellow farmers.
